These earrings were designed to feature two unique, coin-edged, gold watch crowns. Their carbon fiber surrounds took the shape of these 10mm saucer-like objects, hence the name "disco volante", which means flying saucer in Italian.

Why it is Cool
The 5.5mm crowns look like little suns to me. It is cool to know that each of these little knobs used to wind a mechanical watch. If only they could tell their stories!
